Change from the inside out

Do you ponder the best way to care for your body? Wonder if physical discomfort is an enduring part of life? Long to be free of persistent pain? Fear that aging means inevitable decline? Yearn for a feeling of calm amid the frenzy of modern life?

Me too!

I have spent a lifetime trying to answer these questions, for myself and others. I hold degrees in dance (BA) and anthropology (MA). I taught Pilates for 15 years and have studied anatomy and kinesiology, and explored strength training, restorative exercise, fascial release techniques, heath coaching and more.

… the body is not a problem to be solved but a process to be managed.”

Much of what I have learned my search is predicated on perfecting physical performance for external objective standards, and emphasizes fixing structural problems, faults and foibles with outside-in interventions and manipulations.

In contrast, Clinical Somatics takes an inside-out approach. By harnessing the brains innate capacity for self sensing and self adjusting, we can optimize our patterns of making and holding muscle tension and “fix” ourselves from the inside out.

Clinical Somatics is helping me to find answers to a lot of body questions for myself and others.

I look forward to exploring somatics with you!

Restore yourself from the inside out.
